To clarify for anyone who’s wondering what’s going on, ethylene gas accelerates the ripening of bananas. Bananas produce ethylene in small amounts. Ergo, multiple bananas in a bunch will all accelerate each other’s ripening, so separating them slows it down.

How to filter your email.

You can make your email ‘youraddress+[insert text here]@youraddress.com’ so you can have your email for a site like pandora email you at lifehacker+pandora@lifehacker.com and you can now set a filter to all emails to that address be put in the pandora folder. Similarly, ‘lifehacker+spam@lifehacker.com’ can be used for spam sites. create filter to sent +spam to spam folder. +work for work folder, etc.

Type:

Hit Return, and then type:

killall Dock

Now take a look in your dock, and you’ll see a blank space there that can be dragged around and used as separators. I love grouping my apps to make them easier to find! Create as many as you like!
